For nearly a year now, San Diego-inspired New Heights Brewing Co. has graced Nashville with its incredible brews. But in order to sling brews in Nashville, you must serve food. After stumbling upon Dan and the Mac Attack food truck, the two businesses decided to pair up.
Now, New Heights serves up Dan's Gourmet's frozen entrees alongside their famous beers like their Nothing Fancy cream ale and their Coffee & Cream.
Trust us. It's not your average craft beer. Husband and wife duo Tracey and Jeff Fountain began their Nashville journey with their new Wedgewood-Houston brewery last November, and since then have made quite a splash in Music City.
The new brewery recently won "People's Choice" at the Nashville Preds beer competition, competing with 50 other breweries.
"Winning that was really unexpected, especially being less than a year old. They're going to now feature New Heights at certain Preds games and we're supposed to get a custom guitar with our logo and the Predators logo on it," Tasting Room Manager Katy DeWinter said.
"It has been a dream come true! We started on this journey years ago with no idea how we were going to pull it off - and, now we are doing it. The past year has been so much work but amazing to see our baby grow," Tracey told us.
Coming up next?
The brewery will be hosting a yoga class with all proceeds going to hurricane relief funds. They'll be matching donations dollar-for-dollar.
The team at New Heights is also hosting something the Nashville area hasn't seen before: a homebrew contest. Entries are now being accepted and winners will be announced October 14.
Head there Halloweekend for a super fun costume contest, and don't forget the brewery's anniversary party on the weekend of November 18th. Bring your growlers!
